I have tried many different brands in the past. I buy almost every product that my wife or son doesn't like. So I've used designer brand detergents (Lancome, Shiseido, Prescriptives, La Prairie, Kiehls) and some lesser known ones. I don't remember them very well, so I guess they weren't that good. I saw it on sale, read about it and thought it was worth a try. It has actually become my daily facial cleanser and I think I will keep it for future use as well. I find it cleans the face well without drying it out. I tend to get quite oily after a day but I always feel like my face is clear after use. The product has a very pleasant mild scent. I can't describe it exactly, but it's not overpowered by perfumes or scents. To me it smelled natural. There is a slight graininess in the wash. You can see parts there. I haven't looked or read what they have there. Whatever it is I think it helps gently cleanse the face and I love it. I might dare to try a few other brands but so far this is pretty low in the rankings.
