.and I am very happy with both. I bought the first one in 2014 and abused it like it wasn't made to be abused. I probably have a 5000-6000km commute and another 5000-6000km with this gear. Every day for almost 6 years I've been lugging around a set (2) ABUS Granit City 1060 chains weighing 3.791 kg (8.34 lb) and 2.694 kg (5.93 lb) respectively (you can steal my bike but you will). That takes a lot of work.) I buy groceries from them and when I travel I probably stuff 30-40kg in with all my gear, spares, groceries, basic necessities, extra water etc. The one I bought in 2014 is starting to show some signs of wear. One trunk has a few small holes due to my large locks (see picture) and the zipper at the top of the trunk likes to only open one way. It has two zippers and as long as I open and close it with just one zipper everything works fine. If I try to unzip it with a different zipper, the zipper breaks and I have to try to put the zipper back together. I've also read some complaints about the front latch disengaging on rough terrain and the whole thing falling off the bike. I solved this problem by simply wrapping a small bungee cord around the seatpost (see pic) and have never had a problem with mine and have ridden very treacherous terrain (I ride a 29er and I ride it like it is driven.) The second chest I own was bought in 2017. It has driven about 5000km with no material defects and I treat it the same as this one including my own set of Garanit city locks (yes I have two full sets.) I gave this item 5 stars. I've seen some complaints about zippers, front latches, etc, but people eventually wear out. I feel pretty good that I've lived 6 years and if I keep caring about it (which I really mean by controlled violence) I feel like I'll live some good years. This is a quality product.
