I'm an avid electronics seeker. Other switches I've seen are either too small for my needs or extremely cheap in look and feel. Design: Honestly, this is a simple switch. Black and brown body with green light indicating active input. The real show stop here is that this thing is metal inside and out. No cheap plastic case. In addition, all connections go to the back of the device, which is very convenient. Functionality: This device works very well and is incredibly easy to set up. If you have a Logitech Harmony remote, you can use it to sync with this device. The only feature I don't like is automatic switching, but you can disable it without using the power cord. An interesting feature that you don't typically see on switches is the power button. If you wish, you can switch off the device completely. The remote control is simple but fully functional and durable. The company also sent me one after I lost my original, which was incredibly nice. A note on functionality is that I had the original Matrix a few weeks ago. However, Awakeion sent me a new one asap. I believe a bad HDMI cable contributed to this, so I don't blame the device. All ports are USB 2.0 as promised and support DHCP 2.2 so there is no chance of the device not working. I've bought many switches over the years, but I'll be sticking with this one from now on.
