Review on High Flow YITAMOTOR Stainless Steel Catalytic Converter With O2 Nut- EPA Compliant by Tremain Lapan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well Built, Accurate Description, Easy Install

This was installed into a 2004 Saturn L200 with a failed catalytic. Parts of the cat blew back into the muffler and caused it to rattle at idle and low-speed driving - up to 20 MPH.The L200 has the standard inline four-cylinder engine with about 200,000 miles in it.I chose this catalytic because it was well built and stainless steelThe dimensions were described well and I was able to get the old parts removed and the new cat and muffler installed in about five hours. I left the 30 inch resonator pipe in place. The cat was put into the place as the OEM cat.I replaced the O2 sensor at the same time. The angle of this cat's O2 port was a bit different than the Saturn OEM cat.It was 180 degrees off and I needed to rotate the cat but it fits in the available space and I did not need to alter or extend the O2 sensor wires.I followed the stated warm up and break-in procedures exactly. The only delay I experienced was to go to the local Advance Auto to get two pipe adapters and a exhaust clamps.I think this company offers a Heavy Duty version. This unit has one piece of the honeycomb media inside. It works fine and my check engine light went off. However, my car has 200,000+ miles and I think it leaks oil down the pipe that this cat has to burn off. Next time I will look for a cat with two sections of the catalytic media.I really like the way this came out as well as the build and quality of the cat.

Pros
  • This catalytic converter is made with high-quality stainless steel, ensuring durability and long-lasting performance for your vehicle
Cons
  • While it is EPA compliant, the stainless steel material can be prone to rust and corrosion over time, which might lead to a shorter lifespan for the product
