I first bought a Surface Go (8GB) as a gift and when I held it in my hands I fell in love with Surface. I had to get one. Since I couldn't find any other 8GB Surface Go model, I went with the Pro 7 i5/8GB model myself. I am in love with this device. Watching Netflix is great, Illustrator and other drawing programs work great with the Surface Pen. The keyboard took a few minutes to get comfortable and I really like it, it works well. It's a little heavy when held in one hand (which is why I liked the Surface GO version for general tablet use), but overall it's fairly light. This is the i5 model. I can play Halo Reach with no problems (note I had to lower the resolution to 1080p) and the game runs just fine. Minecraft plays very well. I didn't actually get to play it (laughs), but it just plays light games well (of course it gets hotter with Reach). Stardew Valley FTW! This is currently my main unit and it works very well. If you have money to spare, go for the i7 model mainly because of the 16GB of RAM. The operating system uses around 2.5 to 3 GB of RAM, so there isn't much left on the 8 GB model. I personally didn't have $500 left just to get the i7 model.
