Unfortunately the instructions for this thing are a bit misleading and perfectwater.com is listing the wrong information. The manual is listed under Tap Master Jr F2 and I suspect that's why there are negative reviews about bad tasting water after changing the filter. There is an arrow on the replacement filter that says 'This side is up in my opinion which means the arrow needs to be up when the unit is running and the 'cap' is the body that you screw onto the base . After a failed filter change, I spent some time googling the manual to see what I was doing wrong. On Perfect Water's website, the instructions are still confusing; In fact, I don't think the manual in question doesn't even apply to the Jr F2 faucet master as it talks about using a wrench, which is totally unnecessary. I finally found the CORRECT manual for tmjf2 on Home Depot.com and it says "If there is a orienting arrow on the filter, make sure it is pointing in and out. This usually means that the arrow is during the Operating pointing down. If you set the filter right it works very well. When it's upside down it doesn't work at all! So don't repeat my mistake. The arrow doesn't always point up, it points to the in/out.
