The holes for the USB-C connectors are in the bottom center on the back of the card so there is some interference with the Aluminum rods separating each Mac Pro 5.1 PCI slot. So when you plug in a cable, it won't fit perfectly. I usually make copies using rsync in the terminal with a USB3 Sonnet card that has a read and write speed of 80MB/s. I bought this card hoping for better performance but nothing, I get the same results even though hard drives perform better in hard drive speed testing applications. Maybe something with the terminal log. But I haven't seen much improvement from the USB3 card.
