is worth the weight even though it is an expensive cat food. I was accidentally sent a bag so of course I used it and ALL 8 indoor cats (7 months to 15 years old) ate it with no problem. NONE! Fast-forward through months of bargains, vomit, smelly stalls, and I keep reluctantly coming back to "THE ORANGE BAG" because it costs $$. WHY?. they actually eat less! their coat is shiny and smooth, they don't chafe all day, they're more energetic, and best of all, the effects don't smell half as bad as (so far) all the 'other' brands they've been exposed to. , (and some of them don't like to cover! I use Tractor Supply horse jaw pellets (a bag LESS than $6 for 40 pounds!) (Shovel feces/flushing and urine turns pellets into sawdust - I just use a layer pan ( see below) ) with loop zips in the side openings for tip/lift/rebound to move around - it fits perfectly in the Sterilite 58Qt bath for my cats who pee a lot, I will add another ball of granules if needed (about 2 inches deep, just toss out the sawdust/wipe down once a week (smells like fresh construction sawdust/barn :) instead of the old-heavy dusty/floral/30lb clods of ammonia trapped in the bottom of the box!) Try them all possible brands and prices to help balance the budget when it comes to the critters that saved my kids when they were kids BUT it helps when the benefits are: I don't eat that much food because: She sows eat, chew, do not vomit or stink! to help even out the till :) I hope this helps anyone who loves their animals but still needs to pay the bills and support the family!
