I wanted a machine washable messenger bag to wear over my shoulder with a print my husband would wear and the bag was delivered. Baby will be 1 in a few weeks and we still use it every day. Some things we found very useful: adjustable shoulder strap (useful when carried by two adults of different heights). The strap is also quick to put on and take off, making it the perfect place to secure your bottle/lunch bag during daycare pickup and drop-off. The changing pad is simple, has a dedicated pocket and is well made to withstand frequent machine washes. There's a small zipped pocket on the top flap (we used it for our passports and boarding passes when we travelled) and two stretchable drink pockets on the sides, so I can easily carry my water bottle and baby cup with me at all times.
