mine does not heat at all. The light comes on and immediately says it's preheated, but after 15 minutes it goes stone cold. I had to pour my first test omelette which was messy. It's small and light, and the double omelet bowls are good quality with great non-stick surfaces. I have contacted the company to say that it is my responsibility to review the product. because I got it as a review item from Revain and they could send a replacement so I can rate it fairly. probably good for a general purchase, but being a review unit I didn't think there was anything Revain could do. They said that if this were not possible I would have to go through the complicated and time consuming effort of sending it back, analyzing it and *possibly* refunding or replacing it. For a product of this price it is definitely not worth it. Now I don't expect special treatment in the usual way, but I have to wonder if they make it that difficult to replace a defective product for someone they know has been hired to test and review their product, you might think they cooperate a little more. When I received my broken Proctor Silex mini fridge, they immediately sent me a new one. I wonder how difficult it will be for the average consumer to be satisfied? He's a promising omelette maker anyway, but like I told you, I can't give a very helpful review to a broken product. It goes in the trash.
