When it got hot this summer, I decided to buy a new shirt to avoid sunburn. My size was "Large" and it fit me perfectly. At 190# and 5ft 7in I was a little concerned they would be too tight but glad I went up in size. When I received the shirt I was amazed at the quality. She has a spandex mesh fabric on her back, about halfway up. It has kept me cool during those hot days on the kayak. According to the label it is a UV-protected knit fabric made of 84% polyester and 16% spandex. This shows that it has a sun protection rating of 50+ UPF. One thing I learned is that when you go fishing you need to wear special fishing clothes. I personally live in the south, it gets hot there. While a short sleeve t-shirt would have been fine, I would have been sweating and burning like crazy. A long-sleeved shirt made from a lightweight material that keeps me cool is essential. This shirt meets those requirements. One problem I had was that it left stains. I'm hard on my shirts and it shows. The material is very gentle in how you can remove stains. I had to wash it twice and soak it in water to get the catfish out of the shirt. But amazingly it worked. Sometimes the presence of a white shirt scares me. In summary, I can say that this is a product that I can personally recommend. It is of great quality and comes at a great price. If you're in an area where the sun burns you down, you need something like. This lets your skin breathe but protects you from the sun!
