Great pencil case, just what I was looking for! Following the new adult color trend, my mum gave me one for Christmas along with some pretty crayons. Contrary to what others say, this case holds 20-25 pencils, it holds my 30 crayon set with plenty of room. I think I could put in at least 15 more pencils. I'm not sure if others gave more conservative numbers because they had a velcro compartment (this bag can be divided into 2 sections with a velcro flap. If you want the bag to be longer this section can be detached with the opposite side ). a longer compartment and velcro on the side to make a smaller pocket!), but if you want this pocket to just hold pens (and nothing else) it can hold quite a bit - I would cautiously say at least 40 if not 50 , accept. Top notch construction and obviously high quality materials. I love it!
