This paring knife is made in China and comes in a nice box with a magnetic closure, which makes a good gift. It's definitely a bit bigger than my regular paring knives. That's what I call a utility knife. This knife is made from a single piece of steel with an ergonomic handle. Lightweight yet durable, it has a sleek, modern design and will look great in a contemporary kitchen. I myself was surprised at how well the handle fits my hand for use as a utility knife. I hit it so that it slipped sideways and right between the cooker and the worktop where it hangs by the handle due to the shape. Believe me I had to fish more than one cutlery out of this room but this one stayed in place. I told you it was weird but I liked it! In any case, this knife looks good, feels good in the hand, works very well and seems to be holding its edge well so far. I would call it a VICTORY. Great gift idea for the chef in the family. I recommend.
