It's really sticky!

If it sticks to sticky surfaces it looks like flypaper, cut it off and throw it away! The learning curve for handling in this application is a parabolic surface. Do not try to use this material in strong winds! No peeling back to stick, comfortable, simplifies application. Something like contact cement, once it touches it messes it up, pull it out and move it around to make sure you aim correctly. It took some practice to learn not to trap air bubbles when laying the strip. If this is the case, squeeze the blister as hard as you can and then release the pressure with a pin prick. Thin enough that it's almost impossible to see the stitching when applied to another piece of the same material, it blends in well, which is very nice in that regard. My application was to restore the usefulness of a 55 inch parabolic mirror used in solar thermal applications such as bread baking. Also applied to the abandoned Hughes satellite dish, see images. This slab, which is only 33.5 inches wide, could set a newspaper on fire at 8am! The large dish was damaged in terms of reflectivity due to exposure to salty coastal air which destroyed the reflective surface. Could have gotten 250F before grinding and today it was about 600F! The amazing difference the tape made saved the device! Baking whole wheat bread using only solar power is a fun project. Thank you to the film manufacturer for providing this product by ordering another backup roll today. March 06, 2021 Baja, the high desert of Mexico.
