What to expect upon receipt? I heard something rattling in the box and my heart skipped a beat. It turned out that a small part came loose from the coffee maker, but everything else was intact. I didn't realize when I bought it online that the glass pan is actually attached to a metal cooking plate and this makes the pan very heavy which is a disadvantage. It also doesn't make it as easy to clean and use as one might expect. I like using it at the moment because the automatic function will brew the tea and keep it at a constant temperature if you want. Expect some noise when it's cooking. Setting it to manual will keep it simmering, and if it's filled to capacity some hot liquids may slosh over the top - so be careful. Otherwise I enjoy using it and it looks very attractive on a countertop.
