Review on ๐ŸŽง Thrustmaster Y-300 CPX Rainbow 6 Siege Edition: Ultimate Gaming Headset for PS5, PS4, XBOX Series X/S, One, and PC by Kevin Staniszewski

Medium Variant - Xbox Systems

I am considering Thrustmaster Y-300 CPX Rainbow Six Siege Edition headphones. In terms of fit and comfort, the round cups create pressure points on my earlobes that cause pain in my ears after about 60 minutes of use. If they were elongated, they would cover the ears more completely and reduce those pressure points. I'm bothered by other round shell headphones and for some reason my ears don't adjust well to over-ear headphones for a long time. In terms of sound quality they are average, they deliver a good sound in the mids. They don't compare to the high-end or mid-range noise-cancelling headphones I use for listening to music, and they don't have the bass I've come to expect from gaming. High frequencies could also be better. They don't have surround sound support. On the plus side, they have an on-cord controller that lets you independently adjust the game's sound and voice. You can adjust the microphone gain to make your voice clearer. There is a built-in voice feedback system that eliminates voice echo. The microphone is also detachable and adjustable. Another plus is the 4 meter long cable, which offers enough scope for free movement. They don't support Bluetooth but have several options for wired connection to most modern gaming consoles and platforms. Overall it's a decent choice for a gamer and provides the basics of what's needed to immerse yourself in FPS games. They are compatible with different platforms. Bass response is much appreciated but meets my expectations.
