I love this thing! I'm one of those weird people who hate lumps in mashed potatoes. Yes, you can handle the hassle with electric mixers or other tools, but nothing comes easier than getting perfectly smooth potatoes! Peel, cut, boil potatoes. Place a few pieces in the rice cooker and squeeze out. It makes (oddly plasticine-like) strands of perfectly fluffy potatoes. I believe you can get away with using less butter/milk for a smooth texture compared to other methods. As for cleaning, once I've used it, I rinse it under hot water from a spray bottle and it all washes off instantly. Highly recommended.
