The toothpick handle is great, a little flimsy means you won't poke yourself, but they can still get the job done with the slightly rounded end. The problem is in the key. the goal of them is flossing. The framework is so malleable and the floss/fibers are so elastic that it becomes quite difficult to get the floss between the teeth. The handle flexes and the bifurcated portion folds under pressure when you try to floss, then the floss stretches itself over the course of your first few teeth, leaving you with deformed floss that you cannot use properly.
