I am 5'6 160-165 lbs usually a large in dresses because I have a wide ribcage and a lil tummy. I thought I was gonna regret getting this dress since I'm not the model body type or super curvy but girls. just get it. It accentuates the right places and the fabric bunches to cover the places you don't want on display. This is the first fitted dress I've bought and I got a medium & large after looking at reviews and the large was too big. The medium fits great and is definitely appropriate for a fancy date night or maybe a black tie wedding. Just do it. Could be better quality but it's what I expected for the price
