I just plugged the USB transmitter into my computer and the mouse was up and running in seconds. After about a minute, a message appeared on my computer that the driver was completely installed. I didn't have to do anything. The mouse moves and scrolls smoothly on my mouse pad and right on my desk. There are a few extra buttons that I probably won't use, but they're positioned so I don't accidentally press them. I suppose I can check what they're doing later. I'm not sure of the ergonomic benefits of long-term use, but it seems comfortable. This gives your hand an easy twist, which I think has been identified as the best for long-term use.
