There were such in my old truck and I liked them. Took them for a newer one and I like them too. They give a little more light. A slightly whiter color is fine, but nothing like a blue tinted lamp. I didn't want a tinted bulb anyway because I needed an outlet. You're losing power with tinted bulbs - any shade, no matter what you're told. It is great. They have a shorter life than a standard bulb but my old pair in another truck lasted over a year. If you want a legal and bright light, use these high-quality Philips lamps. Forget Sylvania.
