Review on KitchenAid KHMB732BM Cordless Mixer Speed by Joe Mix

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Makes good whipping cream, but...

Overview: KitchenAid KHMB732BM Cordless Hand Mixer, 7 Speed, Matte Black • TL;DR: Good, but not powerful enough for heavy batter. The first thing that struck me was the size and I was impressed. With such a large body, it must have a large battery and a large motor, so it must be powerful. Not right. I looked at the blades. Although they were a little small, they are thick, heavy, strong and no doubt designed to move products with ease. Not right. This top-of-the-line hand mixer is designed to prepare products with a light viscosity such as whipped cream. It does a pretty good job, but when you get to a tougher test, it doesn't get as good. I've compared it to our 47 year old hand blender (not cordless) with thinner but wider blades and it wasn't a problem. . The 47-year-old blender was smaller, lighter, and much more powerful (not to mention it's still running after 47 years). I loved the idea of not being tied to a string. I use a lot of KitchenAid products and they are generally reliable and one of my favorite brands but this is a disappointment. By the way, as can be seen in one of the images, the blades have different keys, each of which is destined to be installed in its corresponding slot. . This is something I haven't seen anywhere else. Finally, if you only use it for batter and whipped cream, this is a good mixer that I'm sure will last you a long time (maybe not 47 years, but...). If you're looking for strong hitters, you'd better look elsewhere.
