So I bought one of these around 2001 when all my friends were starting paintballing. I bought it because we always played in the woods so didn't have access to the chronograph. Anyone who has played paintball knows that there is pain when you get hit by a paintball and that getting hit by a paintball that is going too fast causes pain. I chose this model because of the price and size. He served us well when we needed him. A few months after the "cool factor" wore off, my friends realized they didn't like being shot as much as they thought they did, and they all sold their gear. I held on for a few more years hoping they would come back, but they never came back. So I ended up selling all my gear too. Fast forward a few years to 2013 and my friends are back! I knew I was going to need a chronograph and considering how well this chronograph had served us many years ago, I decided to buy it again. I've never had any reliability issues and I don't even remember having to change the battery once I had one. . It comes with a velcro loop to hang it on the barrel but I never used it as I just held it with my hand. It only takes a few shots to find out how many FPS your gun is firing. I would buy it again without hesitation, but I learned my lesson the first time. My friends will always come back to play paintball, it's just a matter of time. I save some money and just keep the second one until I need it again.
