I bought this for my son as we are planning a big trip and I wanted him to be able to print out his photos to make a scrapbook on the go. However, as soon as I opened the box and printed out my first photo, I claimed it as mine. The picture quality is amazing. Looks like from a darkroom. I like that there is just enough ink for the number of images that the ink comes with so you don't run out of black, but lots of yellow. My son loves to see it printed. He pulls the paper back and forth, applying a yellow coat, then a red, then a blue, then a clear coat. Oh yes, these photos are WATERPROOF! I can't tell you how happy I was with this feature after splattering ruined many of the images on my HP printers. After playing around with this printer a bit I decided my mom should have one and I bought 4 for my work too; Since we need to print locally without a computer, it fits perfectly. The only drawback is that the slots do not fit all memory cards. I have to connect my camera with a USB cable, but this allows me to flip through my photos faster than using a printer to search the map. Also, I haven't found the paper in local stores (not that I've searched them all, maybe it's hiding somewhere), but I assume I'll have to buy the paper/ink combo primarily online. All in all, I don't think I could ask for more from a $50 printer!
