We used it as a transitional diaper to another sleeping bag. I think it worked really well for us and we didn't realize our baby was having trouble going from hand to hand (and eventually to the sleeping bag) in this swaddle. I wish the arm warmers were longer. because when i put the handcuffs on our daughter can't open her fist and it feels a bit tight if that makes sense. Also, the flap seems to be too wide (top and bottom) because when we extend an arm, it's difficult to get under the armpit without tension. Overall I stuck with it because I've only used this swaddle for a little over a month to switch our daughter to a sleeping bag and it has worked well and worked smoothly.
