Review on AQUACREST PureTouch AquaSuite Compatible Replacement by Justin Spoja

Waste, no deal

I should have trusted my instincts and researched more. From crappy, nondescript stock photos here and on the company's website, to the complete lack of information on this site, I felt like this company wasn't really on the up. but I was attracted by the price, which is significantly better than the original Moen 9001 filter. However, this Aqua Crest lacks as many details about its performance in person as it does online. That said, now that I have it in my disappointed hands, it only claims to reduce the taste of chlorine. None of the standard packaging or accompanying literature mentions reducing other contaminants - not at all. No one. So basically this thing just reduces the taste of chlorine (by an unspecified amount). If you want to reduce **actual pollutants** like lead, pesticides, or anything else that poses a real hazard - you know, the reason you buy a water filter - don't rely on this crappy, incredibly light ( ! ) Device. . While I do think Moen filters are overpriced, at least I know what I'm getting. A simple $30 chlorine reducer is a waste, not a business. (Tip: Chlorine is a gas that evaporates from your water after a few hours. Pour some water into a pitcher and let it sit and the chlorine will naturally decrease. Sigh.)

Pros
  • Stable consumption
Cons
  • Expensive
