These clips look great, are the right size, and have the right tension setting (you can bend them more or less). However, when I put it on for the first time, it scratched my tie. The scratch won't come out. I took a closer look at the tie clip - it had a metal ridge (point) on the edge, like the unfinished part of the tie clip. I looked at two other clamps - same problem. I contacted the seller via email on the customer support card in the package. I wanted to replace to make sure the metal burr was a manufacturing defect. They told me that all replacement parts are handled through Ebay. So I followed Ebay's free replacement procedure. Received the replacement quickly. Before I put it on, I checked each tie clip to make sure there weren't any metal burrs that could scratch my tie. Of course, all three had sharp metal burrs. Thus, there was a manufacturing defect in the original and replacement orders. Count them up: 6 separate tie clips have the same defect that can scratch a tie. See photos of three interchangeable tie clips with metal ridges circled. I will not pay for a product that will scratch a tie. It's a shame as they seemed great and I gave them a chance to fix it - unfortunately the same problem persisted.
