Review on πŸ”₯ Improved Laptop Heatsink Thermal Pads with Copper Heat Conductivity by Shane Jenkins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Reference product on Amazon when installed

Copper plates weigh quite a bit and add thermal mass. The instructions in the box are unclear; You didn't specify that they were two different sets of thermal pads. Thinner, hard to say but useful, should make contact with the SSD disk. I understand. I wish there was some kind of marker or directions to remind us of this. The first narrow picture is before the standby installation. You can understand why I bought this. Second widescreen image with additional information after switching to standby mode. Also, there are those high temperature stickers that don't have instructions in the box. I guess I will come back here to verify they were made to solve m.2 problems like my type. Not in a laptop, but in a cramped desktop. I might try replacing the thermal pads with high temp stickers. Maybe another time, it took an hour and a half to install with my particular setup. For those wondering, the Corsair i180 Pro is it. Corsair considers these warm standby temperatures to be normal. I disagree as even Samsung points out that these temperatures are too high for controllers. I would like to know exactly how to apply these high temperature stickers. Is Solo or Thermal Pad still in play?
