My XPS 17 has 4 USB-C ports. No "A" ports, although there are still plenty of USB-A devices. The laptop comes with an adapter that connects to port C with HDMI and a USB A port. There are times when I have 2 or more USB A devices (portable hard drives) where I need to transfer data between them , but I don't want to transfer them to a laptop first. This hub gets the job done by plugging directly into a laptop's USB-C port and multiple USB-A devices that can send data directly from one USB-A port to another.
