I had to choose one size larger than I usually wear. I bought and bought thinking I would buy another brand and the fact is I love THIS shoe! So I went back and ordered a size up. I have severe arthritis and I'm old so my feet swell up and I've NEVER had foot pain with it - ever! I get the support I really need and I have happy toes. Oh, and in times of swollen feet, it's very easy to adjust to swollen feet since the shoe's tongue is fully down. To be honest, these are the most comfortable shoes I've had in decades. Besides, they are beautiful. I feel YOUNG in them (I'm 65).
