Before we bought these hats, my first mate and I had no idea who was in charge. Something will happen and inevitably he will say I'm the captain and then I'll say no, I'm the captain. As you can imagine, this leads to Hijinx and fun on the high seas. Now each of us has a hat that tells us something about our specific role.
