Exploded at my newborn granddaughter! Absolutely unbelievable! My sister-in-law kept my week-old granddaughter in her front pocket and made a smoothie with raspberries, blackberries, beets, blueberries, spinach and kefir. After successfully blending these ingredients and drinking half a glass, she decided the drink wasn't sweet enough, so she added a sliced apple to sweeten it. When mixing the apple, a splinter suddenly flew out of the bottom of the pot! I'm not talking about an explosion from above (like what happens when you leave a lid open). I'm talking about an inch sliver of the block itself that suddenly flew out. It was such explosive power that the red juice flew 10 feet and covered nearly every inch of my kitchen.
