I've been wearing glasses/contact lenses for 45 years. I currently wear contacts and near vision is a compromise at best. My optometrist gave me monovision - one eye corrected for distance vision and the other for near vision. I'm not willing to wear readers, especially in a mask (I work in healthcare). My last recipe change made me a bit skeptical about the distance I actually feel when riding. 0.5 is perfect for keeping me happy while driving. The lenses are huge, but that suits me. If you don't know what to fix, don't do it. Can't say how much better the performance is, but expect distortion as the lenses are probably not high quality. For the outsider, they're great.
