Metal rings have arrived which should be on one half

Since they came without metal rings, I have 2 options: 1, without installing them and hoping that the bushings don't cut in over time, or 2, laboriously cutting the existing ones off the old bushings, sanding the edge and mounting on the bushing. Not very happy anyway.
