Terrible product, not worth the money at all!

I bought it and tested it the same day I returned it to the store. It is positioned as an external access point, I don’t know if TP-LINK has different technologies, a la in open space up to 200m in the ideal case, but indoors you can’t achieve high results, for example, in the next room through 1 wall. As a result, I brought this access point to the window of the 7th floor and very rarely saw the network from below using iphone 6s. At the same time, I scanned all the channels through inSSIDer Home and chose the optimal one (the least loaded), as a result, the device very rarely appeared in line of sight in front of the window at the entrance, and it also asked for a password from the logged-in device, even entering it, the inscription "wrong . ." I want to add that in the same room where the access point was on the window there were 2 more routers with other wifi channels, so as not to interfere with the experiment (tp link 941 and KROKS Rt-Cse5 sHW), both stood on the floor in the corner by the window - tp link caught almost all the time, and Kroks is a little worse. I was very surprised and disappointed. Therefore, I do not recommend this hat device for purchase ! P. S. maybe something of course was with the device itself, antennas, firmware, etc. I can’t know this, but outwardly there were no special defects, except that one of the antennas screwed in had a deviation from the second antenna, that is, they were not screwed parallel, but slightly one crooked.

Pros
  • So we didn't get to see them. well maybe a quick and intuitive setup.
Cons
  • 1. No 2022 language 2. The company basically stopped producing devices with 2 ports, with only one POE 3. The signal level does not correspond to the declared one. The coverage area is very small. 4. TP-LINK releases different versions and it is not known which delivery you will get from the store. In this case, there are v1 (rectangular, 2 x 5 dBi) and v3 (round, 2 x 3 dBi). 5. We could also put a UTP cable up to 1 meter into the box.

The dacha plot of 15 acres did not cover the Wi-Fi from the home router. Problem solved.
