Take it to a professional who will

you get what you pay for and for the price it's normal quality. I may have bought the wrong size for my dog or used it incorrectly, but I decided to stop using it after the first try. Our dog is a Red Raccoon, Boxer and Pitt mix. That's the cutest dog I've ever had. He's a wimp and just wants to be loved. But he's too strong for me to walk, and he barks and growls at strangers. The dog trainer recommended wearing a collar after our dog scared the kid out of our yard. We were concerned about his behavior and we know Pitts has a bad reputation. We want others to see what a cute dog he really is, so we were willing to overtrain a little with a notched collar. It had good reviews, so I took the inexpensive route and gave it a try. We went for a short walk and he pulled so hard he kept making oppressive noises for a week. I still don't feel good. By the end of the walk he wasn't pulling as hard, but I felt like there was too much pressure on him. I won't be buying another until a professional dog trainer fits it for you and teaches us how to use it properly. The Herm Springer Guard Collar will probably be the next thing we try.
