Review on RAM Quick Grip Phone Holder Ball by Vashod Reed

I have had a full size quick release RAM holder for many years and have used it for tens of thousands of miles on my motorcycle across the continent without taking my phone once, not even dropping it. It has held up well to hundreds and hundreds of hours of direct sunlight. It does not change its position after tightening the ball joints. The side panels are adjustable to avoid side buttons like power and volume. The spring grip is strong enough to hold the phone in place but not strong enough to prevent the phone from being inserted. This can be done with one hand. I recommend using some sort of case for your phone as this mount only eliminates vibrations that will scratch your phone over time. I use thin TPU cases with my phones to hold most of the phone down and it works great in this holder. The only downside to the original Quick Shot I had was that it was designed for the smaller phones of yesteryear. As cell phones got bigger, they came out of this mount. RAM finally released the XL version, which makes me very happy! I wouldn't use any other phone mount on my bike because I couldn't find any more secure than a quick mount. The phone has returned from my bag to a new mount where it's much more useful. I would recommend this product to anyone who owns a motorcycle and a mobile phone. I look forward to this being the last phone holder I will ever need for my bike as I hope I never have to buy a bigger phone than the one I have now which barely fits in some pockets.
