Previous Bialetti coffee makers served for 3-4 years, until they burnt out due to an oversight. Thus, with careful handling, the coffee maker can remain very pretty in appearance for a very long time. The only tender part in theory is the o-ring between top and bottom, but it a) changes and b) lasts for years. Some pros: Divine, simple-sufficient design, the sealing gasket does not lose properties throughout its entire service life. Has cons: The last coffee maker was the same. After it burned several times, it was decided, as an experiment, to wash it in the dishwasher. The shiny coating did not survive this bath and went into ugly bald spots. Apparently, they must be washed exclusively by hand.
