Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great ingredients but more expensive than other healthy and well established dog food brand

I have a pug who randomly throws up and we have to be very careful with his diet. Some foods just make him vomit then he wants to eat it too 🤢 Anyways, this food stayed in his belly! He didn’t throw up and he was quick to eat his dinner. I have to say this is the case with everything offered to eat so I can’t say that he likes or doesn’t like something, he eats EVERYTHING. We had to get a maze bowl to stop him from literally inhaling his food. What I like about this food is that protein is meat based. I don’t believe that plant based protein is equally beneficial as meat based protein, I believe in healthy balance and natural ingredients and this food has no artificial ingredients so there is a huge plus. Now that we determined the food is great it’s time to rate the value for $. I am hard core couponer (the one that gets the looks 👀 at the register) and I calculate price per serving or oz. I’ve taken into account small pack (3lbs) of this food and compared to other well known and my go to brand of dog food (5lbs bag) also best ingredients and meat protein and the other brand is $2.8/lb while this is $3.3/lb. The difference is small when buying 3-5lbs but if your dog goes through a lot of food then the difference is $12 per 24lbs. Just crunching numbers, some readers might not care but I like to break it down like that so I know exactly how much I am paying. So it’s the great food but more expensive from well known and established brand of high quality dog food, hence the 4stars and not 5.
