Came broken and started smoking when I turned it on.

I ordered this as a last resort as an anniversary gift next week as all local engraving services are closed due to the pandemic. I decided to try! The cover for the bits ripped when I opened it (it's okay), but when I connected the device to the adapter and switched it on. Nothing. It never worked. I turned it back on and smoke came out of the engine bay. It was a waste of time and money.

It only works when it is plugged in. Deception as it shows cordless and the cord is short also.
