At first I was looking for an attachable spout but it's nowhere to be found. I have had the misfortune of spilling the contents of the pot when transferring to another container because most of my pots don't have a built in spout. I found a wide range of silicone strainers with spouts and decided to give it a try. I chose this one because it's small and looks good. I was not disappointed. The colander is as advertised, it fits all my pots and pans, even the ones with lips. It is also very easy to use.
