At first we hated this splitter. Then we realized what the problem was and why. So when we started using it. This has been linked to PS4, Nintendo Switch, PS3 and Wiiu with output to our TV. The switch has power (standby). When using PS4, the screen randomly went black before returning to the PS4 screen (game/movie/etc). After this frustrating issue and some reading, others said it was a no power issue. That's why we changed the power supply of the PS4. Now it's ok to use PS4. Basically, power should be connected to the most commonly used input, as anything else in standby mode is not enough for the HDMI switcher to work properly.
