I ordered these in July when our last set was only a month old and already looking dirty/worn (ps. we've only had them about a month. Kinda ridiculous right?). They really were the perfect solution and have endured daily use very well. The towels absorb liquids easily and are surprisingly more absorbent than I expected. They're not that soft, but I don't think it's a big deal for a kitchen towel. In fact, I've found that a rougher texture usually helps with tidying up. Despite the fact that we have a white set, there are practically no stains. There are a few towels in the set that have coffee or tomato sauce stains, but I'm pretty sure this is unavoidable and the stains aren't so noticeable that I feel the need to replace them. The fact that they don't need to be washed on any particular setting and still look almost new (even if I add a few washes of darker laundry) is much more convenient than having to bleach them completely with a load of whites every week. For $20. I think this is a great buy and should last you long enough to be sure you get your money's worth.
