So far this has worked wonders for my application as a dual tank shut off valve on my mini bike. You definitely want to use a thick layer of Teflon on the threads, otherwise it will leak. I was pumping fuel through for a while before I had a mysterious low fuel issue. I opened it up and all the silicone fell apart inside and something got into my fuel filter (thank goodness I put it after the splitter otherwise I probably would have had to buy a new carburetor). not quite set to vibrate as one of the handles fell off after a couple of hot laps. With that in mind, my final advice is to tighten the bolts that hold the knobs in place if you have significant vibration and omit the silicone if you are running fuel through it.
