I unpacked the camera, connected the power adapter and then ran the Ethernet cable from the camera to the router. I installed the Find program that was on the camera CD. The software detected the security camera on my system fairly quickly. I then accessed the camera via Internet Explorer 11 on my Windows 10 computer using the IP address obtained from the finder. The username is admin and the password is admin. I have a lot of experience with surveillance cameras. I have to say that this was the easiest camera to set up. A few minutes out of the box, the camera was up and running on my system. After accessing the camera via IE11, I set up Wi-Fi on my system with no problems. Then I unplugged the Ethernet cable and restarted the camera. I then set up the camera in my Blue Iris 5 software and it worked great. Then I started testing the cameras with the lights on and off in the room. The camera performed very well in high light and also performed very well with the lights off. IR illumination was excellent, as was face detection, instead of white faces as some cameras have trouble with IR at night. The camera does NOT rotate 360 degrees, it only rotates 355 degrees and then stops in the opposite direction to rotate back. The camera does NOT tilt 100 degrees, it only tilts 90 degrees, meaning that it doesn't point slightly up when in the up position, but points straight ahead or all the way down when tilted like that. The manufacturer's rep contacted me about this issue and confirmed what I said was correct and changed the specs on the Revain page to reflect this. JideTech is working on a 360 degree pan/100 degree tilt camera to be released very soon. If you mount this camera on a wall, 360-degree panning is not necessary. If you install this camera in a location that only requires the straight or down tilt function, a 100 degree tilt for a slight upward tilt is not required.
