My daughter id tall for a 6 year old. The 7/8 fit her perfectly. But no room to grow. A larger size would have been too big in the top. It is a bit thin, but it was perfect for our beach weekend. She didn't want to change out of the outfit she loved it so much. I just wish they offered it in more than one color. We would buy them all.
