Cheap plastic parts that don't fit together

The plastic parts do not fit together, I have read the instructions very carefully and a competent DIYer should be able to put together such a simple part. The latches on the legs are too high so the side panels do not fit underneath when assembled slide. In order to get this product to work I had to use construction glue to hold it together. Extremely disappointing at $60 it was like what you would buy at Walmart for $20. One of the pieces broke off and I don't know, do I want to go to the trouble of returning this item?
