Review on πŸ” Bewinner 3X Barlow Lens for 1.25inch Telescope Eyepieces with M42x0.75 Thread Interface for Enhanced Astronomical Observations by Timothy Spinner

Not even 2x Barlow let alone 3x

This is a well made Barlow lens. It fits 1.25" tubes well and has a T2 (M42) connection for the camera. The image is actually quite clear. Unfortunately Barlow has my focal length and therefore the image (i.e. magnification) only around 1, Increased 8x instead of the advertised 3x. In my opinion this is a serious error. I took the measurements I took with and without this Barlow. You can judge yourself from the picture. Everything is to scale. Another Problem, although others may find it an advantage, is that with this Barlow I didn't have to adjust the eyepiece much to get the subject in focus, perhaps by a fraction of a turn, a camera mounted directly to a telescope and the extra focal length that a Barlow normally offers Temper your expectations with this Barlow The price is good but it's not even 2x let alone 3x.

Pros
  • Camera and Photo
Cons
  • Vulgarity
