I have a nylon string guitar and I bought a KNA NG-1 acoustic bridge pickup to enjoy playing through the amp. Nothing heavy, not for concerts, street performances or church services - just for fun. The 1/8" male to 1/4" male cable that the cartridge comes with is strong and quite long BUT it has to be repeatedly removed and reinserted into the cartridge unless I would like the cable connected, rolled up and connected somehow. on my guitar. I felt this might weaken or damage the pickup, not to mention make it look stupid. So, I got this adapter from a 10" Bought a 1/8" male to a 1/4" female and modified it so I can leave it plugged in. Keep it attached to your guitar so you don't stress the pickup, but it's easy to remove or replace if needed AND, as a bonus, use a regular 1/4" plug to 1/4" guitar cable. Please see my review of the KNA NG-1 Acoustic Pickup for photos and details on how I customized it. The 1/8" pin on this 10" cable slides easily into the pickup with a distinctive click. The connection is very good, no noise, no brrrupppps when moving. This is a simple and inexpensive solution that should extend the life of my guitar's pickup and make using it with an amp a simple exercise.
