FYI I bought the BIG version (which is still quite small but looks great) after reading other reviews and I LOVE it! That's great! My 17 month old is sooo in love with this aquarium and the best part is that it doesn't need to be cleaned like a real aquarium! There are multiple lighting settings to choose from, and it's all done in just minutes. The backdrop sticks to the back of the fish tank, just add water and throw the artificial fish that comes with the kit into the fish tank and you're done! The quiet fans at the top of the aquarium push the fish aside, making them look like real fish swimming there. Not the kind with a fake background just spinning in circles, it really looks like a real tank! I love that you can plug it in and not use a ton of batteries to keep it going. turns off after a while (at least an hour or two somewhere, I don't know the exact time) but at least stays on long enough for my LO to fall asleep watching.
